Assoc Professor Rebecca Deans

Associate Professor Rebeca Deans is a Gynaecologist with a special interest in fertility, paediatric and adolescent gynaecology. She works at the Royal Hospital for Women, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Prince of Wales Private Hospital, and Life Fertility Sydney. She is an Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales, where she is involved in ongoing medical research and teaching of medical students.

Rebecca completed her medical degree at Sydney University. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). She is a subspecialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI). Rebecca holds a Master’s of Human Reproduction and Human Genetics from Sydney University and also has a PhD from UNSW. The subject of her thesis was Asherman's Syndrome. Rebecca is the lead researcher in a collaborative uterus transplant research project, and her team performed Australia’s 1st uterus transplant. For her work in Women's Health, she was awarded the NSW Women of Excellence in 2023.
